What is a local development partner?

Lendwithcare works with local development partners to provide microfinance services (savings, credit, insurance and money transfers) to low-income entrepreneurs who would not otherwise have access to savings and credit facilities. Lendwithcare's local partners must demonstrate a strong social development mission and be legally permitted to provide microfinance services in their country of operation. Lendwithcare partners with local development organisations with varied registered statuses - these could be a microfinance institutions (MFIs), a limited company, NGO, financial cooperative or social enterprise.
