How will I know how many tonnes of CO₂ I have reduced/absorbed?

This will vary from project to project. We estimate that each improved cookstove in India that Lendwithcare finances will, on average, prevent 2 tonnes of CO₂ per annum from being released into the atmosphere because the improved cookstoves require less firewood. In Rwanda, recipients of advanced biomass cookstoves will transition from using charcoal to pellets. This is estimated to prevent also 2 tonnes of CO₂ per annum from being released into the atmosphere. In Chad, aluminium foil-based cookstoves are also expected to prevent 2 tonnes of CO₂ yearly.
