When will I know how many tonnes of CO2 have been reduced/absorbed through the grants I support?

When you make a climate positive grant, you will notice a change to your Lendwithcare dashboard. This will show an ‘expected’ tonnes of reduced/absorbed CO2 as well as an ‘actual’ tonnes of reduced/absorbed CO2. The expected number is estimated based on an agreed cost per tonne of carbon and the amount you give as a grant, and once the CO2 reduction/absorption has been verified (not before 12 months after the grant has been issued) your actual CO2 reduction/absorption will be updated.

The Gold Standard verification process will take place around 12 months after the climate positive grant is provided.
