Why am I asked for a voluntary top-up donation when making a loan?

Without your kind donations, Lendwithcare wouldn’t have been able to make close to a million loans, supporting over 130,000 entrepreneurs with £30 million in funding in our first decade.

100% of every loan you make on Lendwithcare goes to the entrepreneurs you choose so that they can grow their businesses and support their families, but there is a cost to facilitate this crucial work.

We ask for a voluntary top-up donation when you make a loan because donations are crucial for us to continue growing Lendwithcare in order to support more entrepreneurs in a wider variety of low-income countries across the globe.

Although we suggest 15% of the loan value, all top-up donations are on a voluntary basis and lenders are welcome to adjust their top-up donation amount. This can be done by selecting another value from the drop-down list in the basket.
