Chinkhowe group is comprised of 30 women of different ages. All are married and have children who rely upon them. They run small business mainly selling different products such as farm produce, groceries, vegetables, fish and clothes. They received a loan previously which helped them to buy products and raw materials for their businesses. the businesses have improved and now they require another loan to buy stock in bulk and make their businesses more vibrant.
Emily is a member of the group. She is 39 years old and married. They have three children who rely upon their family for financial support. Her husband runs a small business and Emily sells second hand clothes. She requires the loan to pay for three bales of second hand clothes. She started the business with the aim of supporting her family with their basic needs such as food. She has been doing the business for 15 years and three of her family members work with her. Her goal is to educate her children and the previous loans enabled her to construct a house and purchase goats
