Carmen is 31 and she works as a farmer in the province of Imbabura. She has six years of experience and she now grows beans and tree tomatoes (tamarillo). These fruit are highly sought after in the local markets for their nutritional value. Her Lendwithcare funding was very important for Carmen as it allowed her to fertilise her crops and obtain a more successful harvest. This has meant she has created more employment in her community and sold her crops for an increased profit.
