In February 2024, Hang applied for a loan to implement an acacia cultivation and forest care plan. With guidance from local agricultural officers and advice from our local development partner, and after multiple field visits to learn from more experienced farmers, Hang decided to invest in an irrigation system and transition to organic fertilisers to pursue safe and sustainable agricultural practices. This strategic shift has enabled her to produce high-quality timber that aligns with evolving market demands while also minimizing the impact of natural disasters and plant diseases. The ecological benefits of her approach have been matched by impressive economic returns, allowing her family to enjoy a more stable and improved income.
Hang expresses her sincere gratitude to the lenders whose support has played a vital role in her success. She remains committed to expanding her forest and continuing to apply green farming techniques, contributing to both household prosperity and environmental protection.
