The loan enabled Lamyon to enhance her silk weaving skills and produce products on time

Lamyon is a local silk weaver who creates authentic silk-woven products for sale. Both Lamyon and her husband are the breadwinners of the family, and they work hard to make ends meet. Silk weaving is one of the main sources of income, which she primarily uses to support household expenses.

In September 2024, Lamyon took out a loan from Lendwithcare to further grow her silk-weaving business in order to meet local demand and increase her income. She used the loan to purchase a new loom, and bulk buy silk threads, colour dyes, and other essential weaving tools.

Since receiving the loan, Lamyon has worked hard toward her goals, and as a result, her silk weaving skills have improved. It has also allowed her to work flexibly and still produce products on time. Fortunately, she doesn’t need to deliver her products to textile merchants in the city. Most of her products are sold from home, as her regular buyers usually visit her house to make purchases.

Lamyon feels grateful for this opportunity and she thanks Lendwithcare and all our lenders, saying: “Thank you for the funds that have allowed me to invest in my silk-weaving business. As I have many responsibilities, this business has given me the flexibility to manage my working hours and earn a steady stream of income. I will continue doing my best to operate this business.”
