Amivi is a farmer, wife and mother of two children. Together with her husband, she provides for her children's needs and education. As a member of our local development partner - Scoops Novissi, Amivi grows maize, most of which is sold to generate a good income. Her loan from Lendwithcare has contributed enormously to the development of her business. Due to a lack of financial resources, the area which she cultivated was not that large, which led to low productivity and therefore low income. But today, thanks to her loan she has been able to purchase the inputs needed to produce maize on a larger area of land and to hire skilled labour to carry out the farming operations. This has resulted in good harvests and, consequently, good post-sale income. With her next loan from Lendwithcare, Amivi plans to further expand this crop area for higher yields and, as a result, higher sales and income, in order to continue contributing to the economic and social well-being of her family.
