Virginia, aged 32, is a member of Mvayi 2 Group in Ntcheu District. She grows Irish potatoes and tomatoes to earn an income to support her family. After accessing a loan from Lendwithcare, she purchased fertiliser, which helped her improve her harvest.
Thanks to the increased yield, Virginia’s farming revenue grew, allowing her to meet all her loan repayments and even invest in a pig to diversify her income. With the additional income, she was also able to buy household items like furniture.
Virginia is a happy woman because her life has changed and she is now able to provide for her family and is proud of the progress she has made.
