Nicolas will give training on animal raising

Since paying back his Lendwithcare loan, Nicolas has taken out three more loans with Lamac. Nicolas has raised animals all his life, his father was also a farmer. He hopes to train his son to farm and hopes he will take over the business when he is older so he and his wife can go to the city. Nicolas now hires a caretaker to help him to run the farm. He is quite old and was homeless. Nicolas’ land is small and this causes him to worry about the future as he thinks it will be difficult to expand his business. His other problems include the insecure nature of animal rearing- for example he recently bought a calf for 17,000 pesos and 2 months later could only sell it for 18,000 because it was ill. Nicolas works long hours, approximately 6am – 8pm every day. This includes animal husbandry as well as taking his animals to market, where he auctions them himself. Nicolas is a local councillor. He hopes to train some of the people in his local community in farming, as it is a rural community and Nicolas believes his municipality relies on it. As part of his training, he would recommend loans to others because he feels it has been helpful for him.
