Hanh

Hanh is 41 years old this year, married with two children. Her eldest child is working, and her second child is in 8th grade. Hanh and her family currently live in Cao Nam residential area, Nghi Son ward, Thanh Hoa province. Due to their location near the sea, the marine economy remains the main livelihood for the local people.

Hanh’s main occupation is as a line worker at a nearby manufacturing facility; however, erratic production orders have left her monthly earnings increasingly volatile. Driven to build a more resilient livelihood, she partnered with her sister, pooling their personal savings to purchase fresh catches directly from local fishermen and resell them at their neighbourhood market. During her off-shift hours, Hanh joins her sister behind the market counter. Although the routine demands pre-dawn wake-ups and arduous procurement trips, she perseveres daily to secure a better economic footing for her household.

Because the sisters prioritise peak freshness, uncompromised product quality, and transparent pricing, their stall has become a preferred destination for discerning daily market-goers. Yet, as shopper foot traffic and sales volume expanded, their self-financed equity proved insufficient to maintain an adequate inventory reserve capable of satisfying escalating consumer demand.

To break through this liquidity constraint, Hanh once again turned to Thanh Hoa MFI, Lendwithcare's local development partner in Vietnam, where she has maintained a trusted borrowing relationship since 2015. She is requesting microfinance assistance to procure 500 kg of cobia—a premium marine species enjoying strong, sustained popularity in recent seasons. Hanh holds firm faith in the long-term growth of her commercial enterprise and looks forward to the continued, steadfast backing of Thanh Hoa MFI along her journey toward economic empowerment.
