In far eastern Paraguay, the city of Ciudad del Este is home to “Las Resilientas,” a group of 26 determined and proactive women who have united to improve their living conditions through their own economic initiatives. Together, they are committed to strengthening their small businesses, supporting one another, and creating meaningful opportunities for progress and long‑term stability for their families and community.
Lilian Celeste, pictured in the front wearing a white dress, is one of the dedicated members of the group. She earns her living by selling fruits and vegetables, and with the support of Fundación Paraguaya—our local partner—she has been able to expand the variety of products she offers and improve the service she provides to her customers. With this new loan, Lilian plans to purchase additional fruits and vegetables, allowing her to increase her stock and continue growing her business.
