Ha is a 33‑year‑old small business owner who runs a local grocery shop. She and her husband are raising two children: their eldest is 12 and currently in 6th grade, while their youngest is 4 and attending kindergarten. The family lives in Hau Loc district in Thanh Hoa province, a rural area in northern Vietnam.
Ha has been running her small grocery and confectionery shop for nearly ten years, becoming a trusted source of everyday essentials in her community. Her store carries a wide range of staple products—fresh milk, sweets, rice, instant noodles, and cooking oil—and her careful attention to quality and fair pricing has helped her build a loyal customer base.
As demand for her goods continues to grow, Ha sees a strong opportunity to expand her business. However, limited working capital prevents her from stocking the higher volumes of popular items that her customers increasingly rely on. To bridge this gap, Ha is seeking a loan from Thanh Hoa MFI, our local partner in Vietnam. With this support, she plans to increase her inventory of in‑demand products, strengthen her shop’s capacity to serve the community, and create greater financial stability for her family.
