Quy

Quy (47) is the owner of a grocery store. She is married and has two children aged 15 and 6. Quy's family currently live in a coastal commune in Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province.

Departing from the traditional maritime occupations of her peers, Quy recognised the strategic value of a grocery enterprise within her coastal community. Her store serves as a vital supply hub, providing both household staples—such as milk, cooking oil, and fish sauce—and necessary provisions for fishing expeditions. While her transparent pricing and approachable demeanour have fostered deep community trust, limited liquidity historically caused inventory shortages during peak sailing seasons.

Having been a committed client of Thanh Hoa MFI (Lendwithcare's local partner) since 2021, Quy has significantly benefited from specialised training workshops. These sessions emphasise that efficient capital rotation and product diversification are paramount to business resilience. Consequently, in new loan cycle with our local development partner, she is seeking capital to substantially restock her inventory with 100 cases of milk, 120 cases of instant noodles, 15 cases of sweets, and 20 cases of laundry detergent.

This strategic expansion aims to ensure her shelves remain well-stocked for the community’s daily and maritime needs. By optimising her retail capacity, Quy expects to secure a more robust and stable income stream, ultimately enhancing her family’s financial well-being and long-term security.
