Thanh is a 57-year-old widow living in a rural area of Thieu Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, with her grown child, who has a stable job. Having faced significant challenges since losing her husband at a young age, Thanh has shouldered the responsibility of raising her daughter and sustaining the family’s livelihood.
Over the years, she has managed to ease financial pressures by running a small grocery shop, which has become her primary source of income. Thanh sells essential goods such as milk, biscuits, and candies. By proactively sourcing reliable suppliers offering fair prices and a wide variety of products, she has earned the trust of local customers and become a valued member of the community.
During the Lunar New Year in early February, demand for daily necessities rises sharply, often leaving Thanh struggling with insufficient working capital to restock her shop. To address this, she applied for a loan from Lendwithcare local partner, Thanh Hoa MFI. The funds will be used to purchase 40 boxes of yoghurt, 50 boxes of fresh milk, 30 boxes of biscuits, and 20 boxes of candies, ensuring her store is well stocked to meet customer needs during this busy period.
Thanh hopes this investment will strengthen her business, increase her income, and improve her family’s living conditions. She envisions her shop becoming a trusted destination for daily essentials, supporting both her household and the wider community.
