Nhung

Nhung is 38 years old, married, and has two school-aged children, one in 9th grade and one in 6th grade. She lives with her family in a rural area of Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province. Her husband works as a construction labourer, earning a modest income that varies with local demand.

Previously classified as a low-income household, Nhung’s family faced many financial hardships. Since joining Thanh Hoa MFI, she has completed several successful loan cycles, investing in her grocery and household appliance store. Her shop has become a trusted destination for local housewives, offering electrical appliances and essential cooking equipment, steadily improving her family’s economic situation.

Looking ahead to the 2026 Lunar New Year, Nhung plans to expand her inventory to meet peak seasonal demand. She intends to purchase electric rice cookers, pressure cookers, and sets of stainless steel pots and pans. This expansion reflects her continued dedication to building a stable and prosperous future for her family, demonstrating how consistent microfinance support can empower women to break the cycle of poverty.
