Hong is 42 years old, married, and a mother of three children, all of whom are currently in school. She resides with her family in a coastal village near Nghi Son that is quite remote from the town centre and faces various economic challenges.

Her husband works as a mobile phone repair technician in the area. Previously, Hong was employed as a sales clerk at a local electronics store. The couple’s combined income was modest and often unstable, barely covering the family's living expenses. To address this, Hong took the initiative to open a home-based mobile phone accessories shop alongside her husband's repair service, aiming to meet local demand and increase their household income.

However, a lack of capital is the major obstacle preventing her from expanding the scale of her home business. Hong has applied for her first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI, a local partner of Lendwithcare, to purchase four cartons of assorted phone cases and six cartons of tempered glass screen protectors. This investment is crucial for better serving her customers' needs. She hopes that her shop will attract more customers, thereby generating additional income to significantly improve her family's financial stability.
