Cambodia
Sin, aged 43, has been farming for 20 years and lives in Ek Phnom district, Battambang Province.
To earn a living, Sin cultivates short-term rice on one hectare of land, farming twice a year. Each 90-day cycle yields approximately four tonnes of rice, which he sells directly to a local middleman from his village.
As the time approaches to plant his next crop, Sin is facing limited funds. To cover essential costs, he has applied for a 12-month loan. The loan will be used to pay for ploughing the land, diesel for the water pump, and harvesting expenses.
Please note that this loan will be repaid in one lump sum at the end of the 12-month loan term.
This financial support will enable Sin to continue farming efficiently, sustaining his livelihood and meeting market demand.
