Hue is 40 years old and married. She has two childen which are still at school in education. Their house is located in Nhu Thanh district, a mountainous are of Thanh Hoa province.
Hue is a skilled tailor with 12 years of experience, while her husband works as a painter on construction sites. Together, they earn about £430 per month, which sometimes falls short of covering their living expenses and supporting their two children’s education.
Driven by a desire to rise above poverty and improve their income, Hue has taken advantage of her spare time to raise livestock. She has chosen to rear buffalo, using the locally available feed, in hopes of expanding this venture to better secure her family’s financial future.
Recently, Hue decided to apply for her second loan cycle from Thanh Hoa, our local development partner in Vietnam, to buy 3 breed buffaloes to add to her herd and wait until they reproduce to sell the baby buffaloes for profit. Hue hopes that her herd of buffaloes will grow healthily.
