Tuyen, a 41-year-old woman, has overcome numerous challenges in her life. Living in the remote mountainous region of Ngoc Lac District, she belongs to an ethnic minority and faces the daily struggle of making ends meet. Despite these hardships, she has managed to build a family and raise two children who are currently attending school.
Her husband is a construction worker, but his income is unstable. To supplement their earnings, Tuyen engages in small-scale farming and occasional labour work for construction sites in the area. The family also owns a small plot of land where they cultivate industrial trees, primarily for selling timber to a local factory. This additional source of income not only supports their livelihood but also helps in preserving the land from erosion.
However, the family faces a pressing challenge. To improve the productivity of their crop and ensure the sustainability of their land, Tuyen needs to invest in 250 bags of fertiliser and hire some labourers to tend to the crops. Lacking the necessary funds, she has decided to ask for a second loan from Thanh Hoa MFI.
Despite the obstacles, she continues to strive for a better future for her family and her community.
