Huyen

Ms. Huyen, a single mother. She lives in Nhu Thanh in a small house with her young son. Coming from an ethnic minority background, their family's income primarily relies on Ms. Huyen's earnings as a garment worker and from raising buffaloes on a small plot of land. However, due to her son's poor health, Ms. Huyen takes on the primary household responsibilities. Despite these difficulties, she remains optimistic and resourceful, seeking opportunities to enhance their livelihood.

Recognizing the potential in expanding her livestock farming venture, Ms. Huyen plans to purchase two buffalo calves. These animals will provide additional income by selling them to the traders after raising them for around 1 year. However, the lack of capital poses a significant obstacle to realizing her plans. To overcome this financial barrier, Ms. Huyen has decided to approach Thanh Hoa MFI for her 5th loan. With the loan and her savings, she hopes to secure the necessary funds to purchase the two young buffaloes, which cost around $610 (£502.59) each. This investment will not only increase their income in a years’ time but also create a more sustainable livelihood for her family.
