Vietnam
Mrs. Tam is 60 years old and married. She has three grown-up children. Her family live in Nghi Son town, in the coastal area of Thanh Hoa province, in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. Her husband is a manual labourer and she sells breakfast meals.
Every day, she wakes up around 3 am to cook breakfast sticky rice (a popular dish in Vietnam, it is cooked by steaming rice and adding some mung bean or corn) and she then takes it to the local market to sell. Despite her hard work, Mrs. Tam's income is around $212.00 (£167.27) per month which is unstable, and it is barely enough to support her family. However, she is determined to improve her situation and provide for her family.
To do so, she decided to ask for a loan to buy the basic ingredients to make her sticky rice. She will be able to increase her production to sell more and make more profit to support her family.
This is her eighth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI, she is a reliable customer, and the previous loans were repaid on time.
Loan added: 3 July 2023
