Nga is a 48-year-old widow and has two children. She lives with her son's family in Nghi Son town, in the coastal area of Thanh Hoa province, in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. Her daughter is currently studying at university. Nga works at a nearby seafood processing facility and to earn extra income, she makes squid paste to sell.
She has been making squid paste for several years and has a loyal customer base. She sells her popular spicy paste at the local market. Nga's current income isn’t enough to support her family comfortably.
She wishes to expand her squid paste business, but she lacks the capital to purchase more squid and cooking oil to make the paste. As a result, Nga has decided to apply for a loan to help her invest in her business. She will use the money to expand her production, which will allow her to earn more income and better provide for her family.
This is her fifth loan from Thanh Hoa MFI. The previous loans were used to invest in her business and to purchase household appliances. She is a reliable customer, and the other loans were paid back on time.
