Mrs. Khanh is 59 years old and married. She has three grown-up children. Her family lives in Cam Thuy district, a mountainous area of Thanh Hoa province. Agriculture is the main business activity in her region. Her husband is a manual labour in the village. She has been selling dried food, vegetables in the local market for over 10 years.
Mrs. Khanh sells potatoes, shallot, garlic and other vegetables to local people in her area. Since the pandemic, the financial burden has set on her shoulders because her husband's work is unstable. She also grows rice, raises chicken for her family's consumption to reduce the household costs. Due to the high demand of the market's need for Tet holiday (on February), she applied for her third loan cycle from Thanh Hoa MFI to invest in her small business by purchasing more shallot and garlic to resell.
