The Apatsa group accessed a previous loan from LWC and had 13 women. 1 member has dropped out and now the group has 12 women. These women run various small businesses such as restaurants and stalls selling fish, snacks, vegetables, groceries and clothes in order to earn a living and provide for their families. The used the previous loans to boost their businesses and they have changed for the better. They require a another loan to reinvest in their businesses and order stock in bulk.
Elisy aged 50 is a member of Apatsa group. She is a widow with 4 children, 2 orphans and 2 relatives that entirely depend on her. She has been selling second hand bedding for 32 years.
