Dziwe group is composed of 18 women. Majority of them are married and care for their own children as well as orphans. These women run different kinds of businesses including stalls selling vegetables, fish, homemade snacks, vegetables, farm produce and clothes to sustain their lives. The members applied for a loan to invest and expand their businesses. They started their businesses to create self-employment and provide for their families.
Alesi is 62 years old and married to a farmer. She cares for her six children, one relative and one orphan. She sells rice and beans in order to earn an income. She would like a loan to help her in buying more stocks of rice and beans to meet her customers demand and improve her income. The proceeds from her business helps her to pay for household necessities. She started the business with the aim of reducing the level of poverty in her home and sending her children to school and has been doing it for 25 years. Her goal is to complete educating her children, expand her business, increase her her income and purchase a car if possible.
