Loan description:
Teng Yiem is 38 years old and single. She lives in Panha village, which is in Sangke district, Battambang province. Teng has been raising pigs from her home for the past two years. At the moment she has seven pigs and she feeds them by mixing vegetables with rice bran and some commercial feed. It takes about four months before all her pigs are ready to be sold and when they are, Teng calls a buyer to negotiate the price with them. Since her working capital is currently limited, Teng has applied for a loan in order to buy some piglets, rice bran and to cover the costs of vaccinating her piglets. Furthermore a part of the loan will also be used to help cover her farming costs, including buy diesel for her water pump and to buy some commercial fertliser. Teng aims to pay back the loan back over nine months.
