Mercy belongs to the group called Chigule. This is a group loan. She will use her part of the loan in buying sugar, bread and other stocks for her tea stall. In the group they are 16 members.
Mercy Gunda is a married lady aged 39 and a custodian of four children and two orphans. She survives and supports her family by selling tea to people in her community. She needs the loan to increase her business by buying commodities that are currently not in stock such as sugar, bread and stock. Her main aim of obtaining the loan is to send her children to school and provide them with basic needs. After successfully doing business her desire is to open a shop and build a house for her family. Since she started obtaining the loans there has been a positive change in her life, and she is now able to provide sufficient food to her children.
