Dzenita Desevac is 22 years old. She lives with her older brother in their family house in Velesici, part of the capital Sarajevo. Dzenita's mother was a hairdresser and she trained Dzenita in this job. Afterwards Dzenita rented the salon and started running the business on her own. She has both male and female customers. She is a hardworker and a very capable and cheerful person; all her customers like her a lot. Dzenita applied for this loan through the microcredit foundation Women for Women International because she needs to buy a new cash machine - this is now a legal requirement. She will use the rest of the loan to purchase new equipment for the salon. She is planinng to to expand her business in the future and take some specialist courses.
