Mr Som Chun requested a loan from Lendwithcare last year to support his fishing business. The loan was to buy a boat so that it would make it easy for him to supply a good amount of fish to the local markets. He catches fish from Tonlesap Lake. A member from MFI went to see Mr Som to catch up with him about his business and the difference it made after he got the loan. Since he got the new boat he is able to buy bigger volume of fish from the floating villagers. Selling more fish means an increase in his profit. He uses his boat to buy consumable items such as cooking oil, rice, sugar, soy sauce and vegetable for reselling at the same time he buys fish. Selling consumable items brings in an extra income for his family. His cows are growing fast. He harvests grass for his animals.
