Anecito is a fruit and vegetable seller. He used to sell and buy at the market, but all of his stock was lost during typhoon Haiyan, and he can't afford to buy more. Him and his 4 children now rely on his wife's income. She works at a drug store but hardly earns enough for the family.
"Yolanda had a big impact on me - so badly affected I can't explain", he says. He cried when he saw his mango tree was lost to Yolanda (the local name of the typhoon).
In order to recover, he has planted crops of banana, sweet potato and papaya, which he hopes to harvest and sell. Banana trees will take 1.5 years to grow but others might be ready in 4 months.
He says he never loses hope and he is optimistic that there will be a revival to his business; he wants to take a new loan. He received some food aid and some tarpaulin-like material, though his house leeks and he needs better material to repair it.
