Irene has a shop/workshop in a busy street. She has many customers who come to place orders. Many also come just to talk to her, but she makes everybody feel welcome. Her sewing business is going well and more people are buying clothes made by her, but Ireine has started to produce soap and to sell peanuts, cashew nuts and will soon start selling drinks and cosmetics as she wants to make better use of the space she is renting. She still has apprentices. She had 6 but 2 finished their apprenticeship recently, received their diplomas and are now working somewhere else. Her ambition is to buy an industrial sewing machine but for the moment she will continue “being the best dressmaker in Calavi, trying new products to sell and being happy”, she said.
