Pavadee is a woman who embodies the strength of Thai local weavers and an unwavering commitment to preserving the traditions of silk weaving, a profession she loves and takes the greatest pride in.
Amidst her simple way of life, Pavadee continues to carry forward the art of silk weaving with a heart overflowing with love and devotion. This is the profession that has nourished her life and her family for many years. This is more than just a business, it is a spirit woven into every square inch of silk cloth. To pursue her dreams and manage rising costs, Pavadee decided to apply for a loan in October 2022. She invested the funds she received wisely, transforming every baht into a quality new loom, silk threads, durable wooden shuttles, and vibrant colour dyes. These tools are the essential instruments that enable her to continue creating her masterpieces.
However, her life does not move forward alone. She has her beloved husband by her side, whose main occupation is farming, and her two lovely children, who are the source of her motivation and strength. Both of her children have completed their education and now work in factories to earn income and help support the family. Even though her family is small, each of them is a vital thread, weaving a stable and hopeful future together.
Pavadee's goals are clear and tangible. She is determined to weave at least five pieces of silk cloth per month in order to generate a monthly income of approx. £236. This figure is not just an income, it is the guarantee of her family's security and a mark of the pride she feels when she creates with her own two hands.
Despite rising costs, she remains undeterred because this is the profession she loves with all her heart, as it allows her to be self-reliant and serve as the pillar of her family with dignity. Pavadee hopes only for continued support from Lendwithcare and all lenders so that this thread of traditional culture will endure, and charming silk cloths will continue to be woven without end.
