Biao is grateful for her loan and hopes to start saving for future healthcare treatments

Biao is an elderly woman who runs a small traditional silk weaving business from home. She currently lives with her adult son, who helps take care of her from time to time. In April last year, she received a loan from Lendwithcare to continue expanding her silk weaving business in order to generate more income. The loan was used to purchase 15kg of silk threads, colour dyes, and other silk weaving materials.

Although her income from weaving isn’t huge, it’s enough to take care of herself. She is grateful that she is still able to work despite being in her 70s. With her skills and long history in silk weaving, she has been able to steadily produce silk woven products for sale every month. Moreover, her son also supports some of the living costs when he is able to.

Biao expressed her heartfelt thanks to Lendwithcare and our lenders, saying, “I’m so thankful for the loan that allowed me to invest in my weaving. I’ll keep weaving as long as I can. I hope to have a regular income to save enough for myself in case I need it for healthcare treatment in the future.”
