Arissa Oba was able to expand her business by stocking up on quality fabrics

Arissa Oba, a seamstress and mother of two, is a beneficiary of our local development partner Deki, and a member of the Mawupenoussin Women's Empowerment Collective. She runs her business from her workshop in her family home, where she works hard to provide for their children - one in secondary school and the other in primary school. Working with Lendwithcare has led to a positive turning point in her life, especially in supporting her children’s education.

Initially, Arissa only offered sewing services, but with the help of a previous loan financed by Lendwithcare, she was able to expand her business by stocking up on quality fabrics that are in high demand. This not only diversified her activities but also significantly increased her income and profits, allowing her to comfortably pay for her children’s tuition and school supplies. Building on this success, Arissa now plans to use her next loan to purchase additional high-quality fabrics. With this expansion, she hopes to grow her customer base further, boost her earnings, and continue to invest in her children’s future education.
