Augustino used his first loan from lendwithcare to buy stock for his small hardware shop. Ten years ago, Augustino was selling herbal medicines but his income was much lower. He used savings to start his own hardware shop and the loans to improve his shop. He has recently bought a haulage truck for the deliveries. He is now able to earn over 50,000 pesos per month which is 5 times what he earned with the herbal medicine business. Augustino says, “The loans have helped me to increase my earnings. Without LAMAC, I would still be selling herbal medicines.”
“I hope to expand and add other items to sell in my business. For my children - he has two, 15 and 12 years old- I hope they will go to college and do whatever they like… but I would like them to learn my business.”
Agustino has got in his shop all the necessary materials to build a house. He hopes that that his son will become an engineer and that he will get contracts to build houses… "and then buy all the material from my shop" he says.
