After Kimyong and his wife received their loan from Chrey credit union they bought ten piglets with the expectation to fatten and sell them over a period four months. As Kimyong expected, after four months all of his pigs were sold to a local buyer. Kimyong and his wife telephoned a buyer when their pigs were ready and he came directly to their home to negotiate a price and take the pigs away. After they sold their ten pigs they made a profit of around $386. They then bought 18 more piglets to rear. They used the income they generated from selling the previous pigs to cover the cost of rearing their new piglets for this term. Now their pigs are aged around one month and they are healthy and growing quickly. They use vegetables, rice bran and commercial feed for their pigs. Pig rearing is proving to be a profitable buisness for Kinyong and his wife and they hope to expand this business in the future (the photographs and vidao shows Kimyong's wife at their pig-farm).
