Loun is starting to farm again after the floods

While Loun received her loan, she started to farm her rainy season rice on four hectares of land. When it came to the time to cultivate her rice unfortunately she was unable to harvest all of it on time as two hectares were underwater. Although the water flowed out from her rice paddy she also planted some green beans which she can now pick all. Farming green beans also means Loun can provide part-time jobs for her villagers who pick the crops. She also hires about 20 villagers to ensure her green beans are picked on time; she pays 15 cents per kilogram per villager. However, her rice was under the water the previous year, but in order not to disappoint she has now started to grow rice on the same land again having already picked her green beans. This time she will only choose the good quality seed she could cultivate before the flood. (The photo shows her with her green beans)
