Loan description:
Cristita Solasco is 53 years old and married with four dependents who are her youngest son and three grandchildren. Her family lives in Tubigagmanok, a neighbourhood in the town of Asturias in Cebu province where she owns a small food stall that sells cooked food. The stall is located in front of her home and Cristita has been running it for the past five years. One of the advantages is her location, it is about two kilometres from the town centre which means competition is not as great as it might be. Cristita tends to cook for lunch and dinner. She has bought few stainless containers to keep the food regularly sealed and always clean. She managed a wood crafting business before she decided to establish her food stall. She has been a member of the microfinance organisation, First Consolidated, for the past six years and she has received and repaid seven loans already. She has sought another loan to purchase ingredients. She also plans to buy a small refrigerator where she can store some meat, fish and vegetables so that she will not have to worry about preserving her ingredients. Aside from her business, Cristita wants to renovate and paint her house with profits generated from her business. She intends to repay the loan over a period of three months.
