Ereneo is an entrepreneur and the father of two children who are both in college and high school. He and his wife, Jonalyn, work together managing their second-hand shoe business as their means of generating income to support their children and meet their family’s needs. They live in the province of Cebu.
In 2012, Ereneo and his wife started selling second-hand shoes by displaying their merchandise at the town market every Saturday and Sunday. During weekdays, they display their stocks at their home, where customers also visit to check the available items.
Ereneo purchases their second-hand shoe stocks directly from a supplier in Mandaue whenever they need to replenish their inventory. According to him, their business remains a significant source of income for their daily living expenses, which is why they make sure to manage it properly. They ensure that all their stocks are clean, presentable, free from damage, and reasonably priced to attract customers and encourage purchases.
Ereneo has applied for a loan from our local development partner, LAMAC, which is repayable over 12 months. He will use the loan as additional working capital to purchase more stocks to display and sell.
Loan added: 8 October 2026
