CAF Elliot Group

The CAF Elliot Group, based in Lomé, consists of three members who are responsible for seven people, four of whom are school-age children. The average age of the members is 42. The members are involved in various income-generating activities, including the sale of food and cosmetics, as well as bar and catering services. These activities constitute their main source of income and enable them to provide for their families.

Bamezon is a shopkeeper specialising in the sale of food products, including eggs, sardines, tinned tomatoes, oil, rice, sugar, Omo soap and other everyday household items. She has been in this business for over 15 years and runs a shop. She is 45 years old, unmarried and the mother of one child. She is solely responsible for all her household expenses.

With her share of the loan, she plans to buy more stock in order to better supply her shop and meet her customers’ demand. This investment will enable her to increase her sales and boost her income.

Her financial situation is relatively stable, but certain products are regularly out of stock in her shop due to a lack of sufficient funds to purchase them in bulk. Her aim is to become a homeowner in order to secure a more stable future. The profits generated will mainly be reinvested in the development of her business.

The members of this group believe that the loan will enable them to expand their businesses by increasing their stock levels. The funding will mainly be used to purchase goods for resale in order to strengthen their businesses and improve their income.
