Rolito is 58 years old, married, and has four children: three are married, and the youngest is already working. Rolito and his family live in Borbon, Cebu.
Rolito and his wife live a modest life and manage a small backyard vegetable smallholding that provides food for their family while generating an income of £14 per month from extra produce sold to neighbours. They also raise chickens as an additional source of livelihood. Although unemployed, Rolito aspires to become an agricultural entrepreneur by venturing into swine raising to help meet their family’s daily needs.
As a member of Lendwithcare's local development partner, FCCT Cooperative, Rolito has requested a loan to purchase 10 piglets, feeds, and vitamins for his swine business. He also plans to add a gilt breeder in the future to produce piglets for fattening and expand his livestock operation. Rolito hopes that through his swine business, he will be able to increase their income and eventually complete the improvement of their home.
