Togo
In Bolou, near Kévé, the SCOOPS CJA group comprises nine members who support 21 dependants, including 11 school‑age children. With an average age of 42, the members rely on agriculture, mainly maize and rice, to sustain their families.
Etou Ama, a 54‑year‑old farmer with 26 years of experience, is married and supports her family alongside her husband, a carpenter. Limited financial resources previously made it difficult for her to sustain and grow her farming activities. With her share of the loan, she plans to expand production and improve her family’s living conditions. Her long‑term goal is to build a house in Tsévié, and she will reinvest her profits in purchasing land to make this project possible.
The group believes the loan will strengthen their production capacity by enabling them to buy essential inputs and cover labour costs, improving their overall agricultural output.
