Rwanda
Jean Bosco is 51 years old and lives in the western of Rwanda with his wife and their three children, all of whom are currently attending school. He works diligently to provide for his family through his shoe trading business.
Jean Bosco has been running his business for over five years. He decided to start trading in shoes as he recognised a consistent demand for footwear across all age groups. He sells a variety of footwear to meet diverse needs, from winter boots to light sandals for hot summer days. While he is proud of his business, he aspires to invest and expand into a wholesale operation, selling to smaller traders. To facilitate business growth, he has requested a loan to purchase bulk quantities of shoes, including trainers and work boots suitable for agricultural activities. He also plans to hire one person to assist him in the shop and four others who will assist for sales distribution in the rural area around his home town, and is confident that this investment will lead to healthy sales.
