The CAF Discipline 2 group, based near Lomé, consists of nine members engaged in various activities such as welding, selling fried fish, meals and underwear. The group has around 25 dependent children, 17 of whom are in school, and the average age is 38.
Bla is a lingerie retailer and has been running her business for around seven years. She is 45 years old, single and a mother. She shares the household expenses with her family. Thanks to her share of the loan, she plans to increase her stock of goods in order to better meet customer demand. This investment will enable her to attract more customers and increase her income.
Before this loan, she lacked the means to stock up sufficiently. The profits generated will be saved to support the future growth of her business and eventually open a shop. The members believe that this loan will enable them to develop their businesses by improving their investment capacity and strengthening their commercial activities.
