Ryan is 41 years old and married to Shaira, who also serves as his business partner. The couple do not have children and reside in the northern part of Cebu. They began their small food business together this year, starting with limited capital and a shared commitment to build a stable source of income.
Within their partnership, Ryan is responsible for preparing and cooking the food they sell, while Shaira manages the shop during business hours after cooking is completed. Their eatery currently generates a daily income of approximately between £18 and £24.
In addition to running their food business, Ryan works as a skilled tile setter, a trade he has practised for four years, to supplement their household income. During quieter periods, particularly after lunchtime, he also works as a tricycle driver to further support their earnings.
Both Ryan and Shaira work diligently to grow their business and achieve their shared goals. At present, Ryan applied for a loan from Lendwithcare partner LAMAC, to increase their working capital. The funds will be used to purchase additional ingredients and supplies, enabling them to prepare a wider variety of dishes, improve their food display, and attract more customers.
Through this loan, Ryan aims to strengthen their eatery, increase sales, and improve overall household income.
