Jennifer (41) has six children who are attending school—some in college, high school, and elementary—while the youngest is not yet in school. Her partner, Rollen, helps in their egg wholesale business. They live in the province of Cebu, where the couple work together to support their children.
Ten years ago, Jennifer and her partner started their business as egg wholesalers. In addition to eggs, they also stock a small quantity of seasonings such as onions and garlic. They purchase eggs directly from farms every other day and display them in their town for sale. While they also sell at retail, most of their customers buy on a wholesale basis.
Their stall opens daily from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and their sales can reach up to £250 per day. According to Jennifer, egg prices have been increasing, and they need to restock more frequently to meet the growing volume of customer demand.
For this reason, Jennifer applied for another loan from Lendwithcare's local partner, LAMAC, to enable them to supply all customer orders. The loan will be repaid over 12 monthly instalments, with the hope of achieving higher sales and increased profit.
