Onesphore, a 60-year-old father of four, lives with his wife and children in a rural district of Rwanda. Both he and his wife work hard to provide for their children, who are currently attending school. Onesphore is a banana farmer and banana juice producer.
As farmers, the couple grows seasonal crops, but Onesphore also runs a banana trading business in the bustling village market and a banana juice producer. With a decade of experience in this production, he is confident in his ability to generate income.
To expand his business, he has applied for a loan to purchase a larger stock of bananas that will be used in producing banana juice. Additionally, the family employs three farm labourers, and part of the loan will be used to hire an extra worker to support their farming activities.
Looking ahead, Onesphore hopes to further grow his business by producing a high quantity of banana juice within the next two years, allowing him to introduce banana smoothies to his market offerings and increase his income.
