Noeun is 62 years old and lives in Bovel district of Battambang Province. She has been a farmer for more than 30 years, and rice farming has long been the main source of income for her family. She cultivates wet‑season rice on one hectare of land, producing around 2.5 tonnes each season, which she sells directly to a local middleman in her village.
Alongside rice farming, Noeun also grows cabbage on an additional two hectares of land. As the planting season for both rice and cabbage is now approaching, she needs to prepare her fields but has limited financial resources to cover the necessary costs.
To continue her farming activities on time and maintain production, Noeun has requested a 24‑month loan to purchase a water pump, pipe and diesel for use across both her rice and cabbage fields. Having these essential inputs will help her irrigate her crops effectively, support healthy growth and ensure that she can continue generating income for her family.
